The Red Cloth
18x24 inches Mixed Media
The red cloth adorned the mantle which everyone sought,
On top of the red cloth was Mother’s beautiful teapot,
Oh, how I remember our wonderful tea parties on the farm!
Food varied from our classic cucumber sandwiches, to elegant petit fours to buttery English shortbreads.
The teas consisted of black, green, herbal and rooibos flavors and types.
The red cloth could tell us many stories about the tea parties on the farm,
Using the white teapot to entertain many different sorts.
Freshly Squeezed OJ
18x24 inch Mixed Media
After completing a long couple work days
The weekend had finally come,
My favorite drink of the week every Saturday morning
Is freshly squeezed orange juice.
I took my first taste and it was like I was
eating a fresh orange
But even easier!
The flavor and aroma of the juice was indescribable!
It had met all my expectations!
I will continue with my weekly ritual of a glass
of freshly squeezed orange juice!
Kitchen Extravaganza

A poem entitled, “Country Kitchen” by J. Lemming
I love my mother’s kitchen and the way it makes me feel!
The aroma of her cooking & the flowers in the windowsill.
It’s is the nicest, place to visit, when I need a place to rest,
I love my mother’s kitchen…
But it’s home, that I love BEST!
